Raekwon is an American rapper. He is a member of hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan. Other members of Wu-Tang Clan also include/have included Masta Killa, Method Man, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and RZA. He is also known as Raekwon The Chef, Shallah Raekwon, and Lex Diamonds.
His mother is Andrea Woods. In his memoir From Staircase to Stage: The Story of Raekwon and the Wu-Tang Clan, 2021, Raekwon describes his father, whom he only met once, as being of partial Cherokee Native American ancestry and having “red skin, red hair, and a face full of red beard.”
Raekwon was raised in Brooklyn and Stated Island. He is a convert to Islam.
