Shaun King is an American writer and civil rights activist. He co-founded Real Justice PAC and The North Star, and is known as a supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Shaun’s mother, Naomi (Fleming), is white. He has said that his mother told him that his biological father is a light-skinned black man. The name that appears on his birth certificate is that of Jeffrey King, who is white, but Shaun has stated that he is not his biological father.
Shaun is married to Rai, with whom he has five children. Rai is African-American.
