Maurice White was an American singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer. He co-founded the band Earth, Wind & Fire, where he was the co-lead singer alongside Philip Bailey. He was a seven-time Grammy winner and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. The band’s line-up also includes Maurice’s half-brother Verdine White.
Maurice’s maternal grandparents were General Parker (son of Edward Parker and Ida Bell Collins)and Clara Dewalt.
